I have been to Lucky Star Casino in Clinton, Ok several times. Most recently on July 4, 2010. It is located in
Clinton, Oklahoma just off of Gary Blvd just east of downtown. Here is a link to the Lucky Star Casino website if you want to check it out. Unlike some of the other Indian casinos in Oklahoma such as Winstar Casino or Choctaw Casino that sit right on major highways so that they are visible from it, Lucky Star Casino is a little off the beaten path. We drove up from the south on US Highway 183. Coming from this direction, you must cross over Interstate 40 and drive a few blocks until you reach Gary Blvd and turn east. Then you head 2-3 miles out of town and it will be on your left. You can’t miss it.

It is evident once you are inside the casino that it has been added on to several times. Walking in the front door, the players club counter is on your left and the blackjack tables are dead ahead. Lucky Star Casino does not have any roulette tables. The remainder of this part of the casino is filled out with slot machines.

Turning left you will see the entrance to another room which houses a restaurant and slot machines wall to wall. Continuing in the same direction you will enter another room packed with slot machines and on the far wall, a set of glass doors leading to the poker room.

Lucky Star Casino: The Positives

The place is small. Therefore you at Lucky Star Casino are not going to have to walk far to find what you want. It is not going to take you long to find the bathroom, for instance. Like, the other Indian casinos I have visited in Oklahoma, the soft drinks and water, while self-serve, are free. I must say that I like this feature as I hate waiting on the cocktail waitresses in Vegas. Most times, by the time they get back with my drink, I have moved on to another slot machine or blackjack table.

Lucky Star Casino: The Negatives

There is a very steep ramp you must walk up to enter the casino. So, if you have health issues someone is going to have to drop you off. Driving up that ramp is no picnic either. I certainly would not recommend it in winter type conditions.

Since the place is so small and intimate, it is smoky as hell. If you are not a smoker, you are definitely going to want to change clothes and shower when you get home.

Lucky Star Casino: The Conclusion

Lucky Star Casino in Clinton, Oklahoma is a nice small place where you can drive up, park close to the door, get in, get your gamble on and get out. Of our three trips there so far, none have lasted more than two hours. For those living in southwestern Oklahoma it provides a nice gaming diversion in between trips to larger venues such as Las Vegas or Reno.
