Learn about North Dakota slots and casinos.
North Dakota Slots Law
As a resident of North Dakota, it is important to know the laws which
govern
the types of slot machines that you can own. Only those that were manufactured
more than 25 years ago are legal to own. Anything that is newer than that is
prohibited by North Dakota state law because they are no longer seen as
collectible or antique. This is the same law that the majority of states have in
effect at this time.
North Dakota Gambling Establishments
Many people who do not live in North Dakota find it hard to believe that the state has so many gambling establishments to choose from. At this time, there are nearly 40 casinos in the state that offer some sort of gambling including slot machines and much more. For a state that is generally seen as more open and secluded, there are many commercialized casino establishments to choose from. This has gone a long way in generating a lot of revenue, and offering jobs to many people.
North Dakota Gaming Division
All of the tribal gaming in the state is regulated by the North Dakota Gaming Division. They are also responsible for overseeing charitable related gaming as well. This division is very busy as they take care of everything from background checks to ensuring compliance with all laws; and that is only the beginning of what they do.
Unlike many other states, the North Dakota Gaming Division is also responsible for the state lottery. In other states, the lottery is usually governed by a separate division; but this is not the case in North Dakota. As you can imagine, this adds another area that the Gaming Division is responsible for.
When compared to other states, North Dakota has a lot to offer in the way of casino gambling. They may be slightly stricter with their laws on owning slot machines, but this stops there. If you live in North Dakota, there is a good chance that one of the many casinos will be in close proximity to your home.
