And since there are not many places to gamble in other ways, the state lottery has become quite popular. In fact, North Carolina has made sure that a large percentage of revenue generated by the lottery goes into the state’s educational programs. This is a great idea because it affords residents the ability to gamble, while also putting the money towards a good cause.
