New Jersey Slot Machine Laws
The state of New Jersey has strict laws against the type of slot machines
that residents can own. Generally speaking, residents can only own slot machines
that were manufactured before the year of 1941. This is the cutoff at which the
state feels that a slot machine is an antique or collectible. When compared to
the laws in other states, this one is quite strict to say the least. New

Even though the laws are strict for residents who want to own slot machines, the
same does not hold true when it comes to legalized gambling. The state of New
Jersey offers plenty of establishments that are full of slot machines. These
casinos are located in Atlantic City, which is known as the second biggest
gambling destination in the United States behind Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition

The New Jersey Casino Control Commission is faced with the large task of
overseeing all of the gaming establishments in the state. Luckily, they get some
assistance from the Division of Gaming Enforcement which is part of the New

The state lottery in New Jersey is handled separately from casino
establishments. Even though residents have the ability to place bets at the
casino, the state lottery is still quite popular to say the least.
Bingo, raffles, and other charity based games are regulated by the Legalized
Games of Chance Control Commission. As you can see, the state of New Jersey
makes sure that they have a department covering every possible area of gambling.
New Jersey may be strict when it comes to slot machine ownership, but this is
not the case otherwise. When it comes down to it, New Jersey is second only to
