Connecticut Slots Laws

There are not too many states that have made it illegal to own a slotConnecticut Slot Machines machine. But with that being said, Connecticut is one of them.A Connecticut Slots Law has made it illegal for residents to own any type of slot machine. This not only includes newer models, but also those that could be considered antique or collectible as well. Connecticut has laws against this, and it is important that residents are aware of them in order to stay out of hot water.

Connecticut Casino Slot Machines

Even though it is illegal for residents of Connecticut to own slot machines, this does not mean that the fun has to stop. There are two large casinos in Connecticut that offer thousands upon thousands of slot machines. In fact, these casinos are known as two of the largest in this region of the United States. The reason that they can legally own slot machines is that they are licensed by the state. This is in contrast to residents who simply want to have a slot machine in their home.

The Connecticut Gaming Policy Board is responsible for a lot of the gambling related activities that occur in the state. They are a division of the Connecticut Department of Special Revenue. In addition to being responsible for the two large casinos in the state, the board also oversees bingo, greyhound dog racing, and any raffles that take place.

The Department of Special Revenue also regulates the Connecticut Lottery Corporation. Even though the state lottery in Connecticut is not as large as some others, it does a good job in generating income. The Connecticut Lottery Corporation has their own office, and deals strictly in matters that have to do with the lottery.

Even though slot machines cannot be legally owned by Connecticut residents, this does not put a damper on the legal gambling in the state. There are two large tribal casinos that offer thousands of slot machines, as well as greyhound racing and a state lottery. For a smaller state, Connecticut does a great job offering many gambling options.
